This level of care offers up to eight (8) hours of treatment a day for up to six (6) days per week. It is recommended as a step-down for individuals who have recently completed either an inpatient or residential treatment program, or as a step-up for individuals who are currently struggling with the freedom and lack of intense structure and supervision offered by an intensive outpatient program. Day Treatment participants will continue with the recovery skills that they learned in residential treatment, while having the full support of our clinical and nutrition team. Group and individual therapy is provided daily, and all lunches and dinners are monitored by staff. Evening and morning supervision is also offered daily at the supervised housing estate located just a few miles from the outpatient center, with transportation provided to and from the outpatient treatment center. Other program components include equine-assisted therapy, yoga, supervised meal outings at local restaurants, mindful walks, cooking workshops, nutrition education and Tai-Chi.
Day Treatment length of stay varies from 1 – 4 months depending on each individual’s treatment plan, physical condition, and progress with their recovery goals. Once this level of care has been completed, we recommend that our program participants step down to the next level of care, called Intensive Outpatient.
